Intensity and Distance
We researched the effectiveness of red/near-infrared light and its optimal distance from LED to the skin. With precise measurements, our Wellness units are designed to be at the best distance for the most effective healing.

Inverse-Square Law
Using the inverse-square law we found the perfect distance. The inverse-square law describes the light received from most sources. If the distance between an object and the light source is doubled, a given area receives only one-fourth as much light; if the distance is tripled, only one-ninth.

The Goldilocks System
Red Light Wellness has comfort acrylic. The bed wraps around the patient to provide even distribution of therapy.
Through research and development of our Wellness units, we found the optimal distance to get that penetration without hot spots. This ensures that you get a gentle and more even therapy distribution with no hot spots. Each of our LEDs has lenses to maximize this even coverage of treatment. With our units, the distance to your body is just right.
As the temperature of the LEDs increase, the voltage of the LEDs decreases, causing the LEDs to draw more current. The LEDs will continue to get hotter and draw more current until the thermal runaway burns the LEDs out. The LED driver is a self-contained power supply that has outputs that are matched to the electrical characteristics of the LEDs, this keeps the current constant. The LED driver compensates for the change in the voltage while delivering a constant current to the LEDs.
The driver regulates this higher current which makes the LEDs brighter. If a driver fails the LEDs will draw more current than it is rated for and will cause thermal runaway which results in drastically lower LED life spans and premature burnouts due to increased temperature. A constant current driver is the best way to drive high-power LEDs as it maintains consistent brightness across all LEDs as well as the current. This with the correct amount of heat sinks and our 19 high-speed fans, ensures the trouble-free and long life of our equipment. This prevents major problems and loss of big money in the years ahead. This is a very important fact when purchasing equipment.
One of the most important aspects of the LED unit is the drivers. We paired perfectly small groups of the LEDs so that the drivers can monitor the current for the overall output. Our research and development department found that high-speed cooling fans with just the correct amount of vents produce the best performance with no chance of thermal runaway. If ever a driver fails, only 33 LEDs go out (1% of the unit) so the unit can still be in use until a replacement is made. Our modular parts are plugin and are easily accessible. Four easily accessible service panels make the unit easy to maintain, change LEDs, drivers, and more. No tech experience is needed, it’s easy to open service panels and plugin components. This feature of our Wellness Collection makes us a stand out against our competitors. If BrandX’s driver fails, the unit will be down for days and the LEDs will need to be hardwired in by a professional technician.
